Four parties demand to dissolve Sochi Election Commission

On September 16, at the press conference, members of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), the "Rodina" (Homeland) Party, the "Yabloko" Party, and self-nominees filed an appeal to the Russian Central Election Commission (CEC) with the demand to dissolve the Sochi Election Commission and check complaints about violations committed during September 13 voting.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier, members of the CPRF, LDPR, "Rodina", and "Yabloko" Parties signed a resolution on the abolition of elections of deputies to the Sochi City Assembly.

Participants of the election campaign in Sochi have brought to the press conference the copies of their appeals filed to the district and territorial election commissions and to the Regional Election Commission. According to the participants of the press conference, they submitted the above copies of the appeals to the newly created headquarters to form the evidence base.

In the course of the press conference, Yuri Dzaganiya, an assistant of Sergey Obukhov, a deputy of the Russian State Duma, has noted that the major electoral violations were related to "early voting and voting at home."

"Even dead people fell victims of falsifications. For example, how a deceased man can call the election commission and demand to bring him home a ballot box? However, such cases happened, and we wrote about them in our appeal to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF)," said Yuri Dzaganiya.

The assistant of Sergey Obukhov, a deputy of the Russian State Duma, has also drawn attention to the fact that voters "were subjected to administrative or party influence."
