Investigators reappoint examinations of Valery Permyakov

The Investigating Committee of Armenia has appointed forensic psychological and forensic psychiatric examinations of Valery Permyakov accused of killing the Avetisyan family in Gyumri.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the court read out the expert opinion, according to which Valery Permyakov was found sane. However, representatives of the successors to the victims declared they would insist on a new psychological and psychiatric examination of the soldier. The investigators agreed to re-examination.

Within the next days, "Armenian specialists will travel to Gyumri to conduct the examinations," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Lusine Saakyan, an advocate of the successors to the Avetisyan family.

According to Yervand Varosyan, another advocate of the relatives of the Avetisyan family, at the trial held on August 12 at the Russian Garrison Military Court, Valery Permyakov behaved inadequately.

"I've got an impression that the man did not realize in general in what trial he was involved," Yervand Varosyan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. The advocate has also added that the strange Valery Permyakov's behaviour gave rise to the request for forensic psychological and forensic psychiatric examinations of the defendant.
