Residents and guests of Derbent to visit anniversary show by invitations only

The programme for celebration of the Derbent anniversary includes eight major events that the organizers plan to hold on September 19. To visit the main anniversary show, which engages show directors from Moscow, residents and guests of Derbent will have to get invitations.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Derbent will celebrate its 2000th anniversary on September 15. The large-scale preparation for the festival takes several months.

The major festive events in Derbent are scheduled for September 19. They will take place in seven venues. The first event will start at 10:00 a.m. Moscow time at the Museum of World Cultures and Religions of Derbent, which will open the exhibition dedicated to the city anniversary.

The festivities will be finished in the evening in the territory of the Naryn-Kala fortress, where the main anniversary show "2000 years in two hours" is to be held. "It will be a great show, no similar show ever took place in Dagestan. The show engages a group of show director from Moscow," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by an official from the Dagestani Ministry of Culture.

Meanwhile, according to the Dagestani Ministry of Culture, the access to the show will be available by invitations only.
