At trial in Krasnodar, FSB investigator testifies against Darya Polyudova

Today, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar has questioned six witnesses in the case against Darya Polyudova, including FSB investigator Georgy Kotenko, who investigated the activist's case accused of public calling for separatism and extremism.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Polyudova was one of the organizers of the action "March for Kuban Federalization", which did not take place in August 2014 and was directed against Russia policy in relation to Ukraine. She refuses to plead guilty.

According to Darya Polyudova, today, at the trial, the investigator Georgy Kotenko has stated that she called for the overthrow of the constitutional order in Russia.

"I think the judge already has a verdict to be pronounced. And now, he just pretends that he actually considers the case," Darya Polyudova says.

The activist believes that she will be "sentenced to real imprisonment." "For sure, I will not be sentence to conditional imprisonment, since I did not cooperate with the investigators, I organized a variety of protest actions, and I was repeatedly arrested. The article incriminated to me provides punishment of 2-5 years of imprisonment. I think I will be sentenced to two years of imprisonment," the activist has said.

Anton Kapshuk, a Krasnodar activist, a member of the Union of Communist Youth of the Krasnodar Territory, who also appeared in court as a witness, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that "the judge did not hide his negative attitude towards the defendant."
