Ali Kamalov questioned at trial in case of Malik Akhmedilov's murder

At the trial in the case of the murder of journalist Malik Akhmedilov, the court has questioned Ali Kamalov, Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Dagestan, as a prosecution witness. The next court session is scheduled for September 11.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after the abolition of the sentence on September 2, the Lenin District Court of Makhachkala started a new consideration of the case. The court session was scheduled for September 9.

At the court session held on September 9, the court questioned only one prosecution witness Ali Kamalov. This was reported by Rustam Yunusov, an advocate of the defendants.

"He has given the court the same testimony that he gave at the first court sessions in the case (before the abolition of the sentence by the Supreme Court). In fact, he did not say anything that would indicate the guilt of Shuaibov and Abdurakhmanov under charges filed against them," the defender has noted.

During the first trial in the case of the Malik Akhmedilov's murder, Ali Kamalov was questioned on April 28, 2014. According to Adilgerei Omarov, the Shuaibov's advocate, the witness then said that he found at the place of the crime five wads left by the killers after the shooting. Meanwhile, Ali Kamalov himself has claimed he is confident that he knows who ordered the murder of Malik Akhmedilov.
