Two soldiers lost in Karabakh conflict zone

Two soldiers – Marat Khachanyan and Arman Stepanyan – have died from the received gunshot wounds in the Karabakh conflict zone, said the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR).

"As a result of a violation of ceasefire on the contact line by the Azerbaijani party, Marat Khachanyan and Arman Stepanyan, two contact soldiers of the Defence Army of the NKR, perished on September 4 at 5:00 p.m.," said the MoD of the NKR.

No other details of the incident have been reported so far; the MoD has launched an inquiry.

No comments of the MoD of Azerbaijan in connection with this information are available yet.

Let us remind you that on September 4 the MoD of Armenia reported about three wounded civilians and a soldier in the course of the shelling on September 3 of villages located on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border; and about the death of a soldier of Armenian Army and two wounded civilians in the Tavush Region.
