Tamerlan Eskerkhanov tells court about torture

The Moscow Basmanny Court has accepted the request of a figurant in Boris Nemtsov’s murder case to ban any approach of strangers to him in the courthouse.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the above court had scheduled for August 24 the consideration of investigators’ petitions to extend the custody of the defendants in the case until November 28 this year.

Prior to the above consideration, Eskerkhanov made a statement today that testimonies were "knocked out" of him by means of torture.

His statement was specified by his advocate Rosa Magomedova. "I demand to ban any access to my client of unauthorized persons at the Basmanny District Court. The agents, who are guarding Eskerkhanov, bring people to him, who demand particular testimonies from him,” she said.

Judge Valentina Levashova has accepted the statement of the defendant and his advocate.
