Residents of Untsukul District complain about restrictions on their travels
Despite the cancellation of the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime, the access control is valid in the villages of the Untsukul District of Dagestan, and local residents report on a large number of law enforcers. Some restrictions have not yet been lifted in the Untsukul District of Dagestan, the police report.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 10, the CTO regime was introduced in the Untsukul District of Dagestan. On the same day, four suspected militants were killed in the Untsukul District, and on August 16, two more militants were killed. The CTO regime was cancelled on August 18.
The village of Gimry and the village of Vremenny still face restrictions associated with the movement of the local residents. This was reported by Asiyat K., a resident of Gimry. Besides, the headquarters of the law enforcement bodies continues to operate on the outskirts of Gimry.
At present, the situation in Gimry is calm. This was reported by another villager. According to him, on August 16, three persons were killed and not two, as it had been officially reported.
On August 16, one of the killed men was identified by the law enforcement authorities as Magomed Abdullaev, the Amir of the "mountainous sector" of militants, well-known throughout the armed underground as Abu Dudjana.
