Prosecutor demands life-long sentence for Amirov
Today, the North-Caucasian District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don has held the oral hearing on the case of the ex-Mayor of Makhachkala Said Amirov. The state prosecutor demanded to sentence Amirov, by combination of his crimes, to life imprisonment, the "Chernovik" reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the North-Caucasian District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don is considering the main case against Said Amirov since May 12. Apart from Amirov, the prisoner's dock contains his nephew Yusup Djaparov, Murad Aliev, Akhmedov brothers, Magomed Kadiev and Zubair Mutaev.
The prosecutor asked for the same punishment for Yusup Djaparov and one of the Akhmedov brothers – Magomed. For two other Akhmedov brothers, the prosecutor asked nine years in colony for each; as well as for Murad Aliev – 13 years; for Magomed Kadiev – 20 years, and Zubair Mutaev – to 12 years of deprivation of liberty. According to the state prosecutor, the defendants' guilt of the incriminated crimes "causes no doubt", the RIA "Novosti" reports.
So far, no comments on the position of the prosecution have been made by the defendants or their representatives.
