Defence of Anzor Gubashev petitions for re-interrogation
Anzor Gubashev, a figurant in Boris Nemtsov's murder case, intends to reject his earlier confessions; and in this context his advocate Musa Khadisov has turned to investigators with a request for a repeated interrogation of his client.
Boris Nemtsov was killed in Moscow on February 27. Five persons, including Zaur Dadaev, Anzor and Shagid Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, were detained on suspicion of involvement in the murder and put under arrest.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today the "Kommersant" reported that Anzor Gubashev had sent an application to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) complaining that he was tortured after detention.
"We have petitioned for re-questioning of Anzor Gubashev, because he said, in his conversation with advocates that investigators had failed to fulfil the conditions, under which he gave his confessions," the "Interfax" quotes Musa Khadisov as saying today.
According to his story, when giving his confessions, Anzor Gubashev asked to release his brother Shadid and other persons, who had nothing to do with the crime.
The advocate has stressed that his client "took over the crime he did not commit."
