Adler court appoints house arrest for Temirsultanov

According to the ruling of the court in Adler, Khavazh Temirsultanov, who is accused of robbery, should stay at the place of his registration – in Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Temirsultanov was arrested in December 2014 and charged with an assault related to robbery on the Sochi pensioner Arthur Zadelnikov. In his turn, the pensioner claims that Temirsultanov had nothing to do with the assault.

Of July 3, the Court of Appeal overturned the decision to extend Temirsultanov's custody. The case was returned to the court of Sochi for re-consideration. The victim Arthur Zadelnikov was dissatisfied with the judgements and demanded immediate release of the defendant. Khavazh Temirsultanov himself and his defence treat the decision as half-hearted decision and fuzzy, as if a higher court fails to uphold the decision, the defendant will remain in custody until the case is brought to court.

On July 13, at a court session in Adler, after considering the arguments of the parties, the judge replaced the defendant's custody for house arrest. The representative of the Prosecutor's Office of Adler expressed the intention to appeal against the decision.
