Victim in Said Amirov's case has no claims against defendants

At the court session held on May 26, the North-Caucasian District Military Court questioned Ruslan Rabadanov, who was recognized a victim in the case against Said Amirov, the former Mayor of Makhachkala. The victim has noted that he has no claims against the defendants and that he quits being involved in the trial.

The North-Caucasian District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don is considering the case Said Amirov, ex-Mayor of Makhachkala, his nephew Yusup Djaparov and six other defendants, accused of organizing the murder of the investigator Arsen Gadjibekov, participation in an illegal armed formation (IAF), banditry, terrorism and illegal arms circulation. Earlier Amirov had been already sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of plotting a terror act.

Victim Ruslan Rabadanov was summoned to testify in the episode of a shot made from a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher "Bumblebee" on the building owned by the "Izberbash" wine and cognac plant of the cultural and entertainment centre "Moscow" in Kaspiysk, on April 2, 2011.

In connection with the circumstances of the shelling, Ruslan Rabadanov has said that it was at night, surveillance cameras were covered with dust, and nothing was really seen. He only saw the headlights of a car, which drove up. Ruslan Rabadanov wanted to go out to the car to ask the driver to drive off from the protected territory, when a flash and an explosion occurred. The car immediately drove away, and no one of the guards managed to identify a model or colour of the car.

After that, the victim has repeated that he has no financial claims against the defendants, since the repair of his personal car, which suffered from the explosion, in the amount of 50,000 roubles was paid by the managers of the cultural and entertainment centre "Moscow" as a bonus for his good work.

When asked by the judge about his intention to take further part in the trial, Ruslan Rabadanov has stated that he does not want to be involved in the trial.
