Policeman shelled on Makhachkala-Buynaksk road

A policeman, who was found with four gunshot wounds on the Makhachkala-Buynaksk road, died at the Makhachkala hospital.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the wounded policeman was found on the fifth kilometre of the Makhachkala-Buynaksk road on May 18 at about 11:00 p.m.

"He was brought to the central hospital of the city of Makhachkala, where he later died. The victim was a staff member of the Russian MIA's Division for the Tsuntin District," the website of the Dagestani MIA reports.

The MIA also notes that "the criminals escaped in a white VAZ-217030 car" and that "activities are carried out to reveal the whereabouts of the suspects and detain them."
