Policeman from Ingushetia suspected of murder
A policeman from Ingushetia has been detained on suspicion of killing a 32-year resident of the village of Arkhonskaya in North Ossetia. During a search of his house, law enforcers found firearms and the keys to the casualty's car, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ingushetia reports.
According to the press service of the above MIA, a partially burnt body of an Arkhonskaya villager with a gunshot wound was found last night in the outskirt of the village of Ekazhevo.
"On suspicion of committing the murder, the police detained and brought to the Nazran ROVD (District Interior Division) a policeman and 25-year-old resident of the settlement of Kantyshevo. Both detainees have confessed of committing the crime," says a statement posted on the website of the Ingush MIA.
Investigating authorities have initiated a criminal case under Article 105 (premeditated murder) of the Russian Criminal Code, which assumes imprisonment of up to 15 years, says the above statement.
