Kadyrov is ready to testify in Nemtsov's murder case

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has offered his help in the inquiry into the murder of Boris Nemtsov and expressed his readiness to testify. The advocates for the children of the slain politician insist on that.

Boris Nemtsov was killed in Moscow on February 27. Five persons, including Zaur Dadaev, Anzor and Shagid Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, were detained on suspicion of involvement in the murder and put under arrest.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 27, activists of the youth wing of the RPR-PARNAS held a series of solo pickets in Moscow in front of the representative office of Chechnya with a demand to question senior Chechen officials and law enforcers, including Ramzan Kadyrov, on the murder case of Boris Nemtsov.

Kadyrov said that if his testimony will help in the inquiry into the crime, then, he is "happy to help investigators." "I am ready to testify, with my pleasure; no problem; moreover, children demand it. If they prove that Zaur Dadaev is the killer, let him stay in jail for the term, appointed by the court. When someone commits a crime, he must be held accountable," Ramzan Kadyrov said today in his interview to the radio station "Govorit Moskva" (Moscow Speaking).

The head of Chechnya has added that he was interested to know what kind of questions to him Boris Nemtsov's defence had.
