In Lyudmila Bogatenkova's case, court summons two policemen for questioning
The court has summoned the investigator and the chief of the Budennovsk Criminal Investigation Department for questioning in the case against Lyudmila Bogatenkova, the head of the Stavropol Committee of Soldiers' Mothers "Mothers from Kuma River Area".
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Lyudmila Bogatenkova is accused of fraud when providing legal services to military personnel who participated in counterterrorist operations (CTOs) in Northern Caucasus. The human rights defender pleads not guilty.
At the court session held on April 23, victim Yuri Dubrovin claimed that the chief of the Budennovsk Criminal Investigation Department persuaded him to file a complaint about the fraud committed by Lyudmila Bogatenkova. The defence has filed a motion to question the investigator and the chief of the Criminal Investigation Department as witnesses, and the court has granted the defence's motion, advocate Vitaly Zubenko reports.
During the court session, the defence filed motions to recognize protocols of confrontations as inadmissible evidence. After that, the defence challenged the court in connection with the fact that "the court had granted none of the motions filed at the stage of the preliminary investigation."
Let us remind you that Lyudmila Bogatenkova was engaged in investigation into the circumstances of the deaths of Russian soldiers during the combat operations in Ukraine in July and August 2014. Following the results of her investigation, she sent to the Presidential Human Rights Council the information about nine Russian soldiers declared dead in the Rostov Region.
