Zaur Dadaev's defence challenges extension of his arrest

The advocates of Zaur Dadaev have appealed against the court ruling to extend his custody until August 28.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 23 the Basmanny District Court of Moscow upheld the investigators' motion and extended Zaur Dadaev's custody until August 28. Then, the defence stated its intention to appeal against this extension.

The advocates did it today by sending an appeal compliant against the above decision of the Basmanny District Court, said Shamsudin Tsakaev, one of the defenders. According to his story, he does not agree with the extension of his client's custody.

"I find the ruling of the Basmanny Court to be illegal and unjustified. The case files have no proofs of his involvement in the crime," said Tsakaev.

His appeal complaint asks to cancel his client's custody extension and release Dadaev from detention.
