Azerbaijan accuses Armenia over soldier’s death

Ensign Shakhmurad Alizade of the Azerbaijani Army died as a result of ceasefire violation committed by the Armenian side. This was reported by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD).

The incident occurred on the contact line of the Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces.

The Azerbaijani MoD has not specified on what section of the frontline the incident occurred, the agency "News-Azerbaijan" reports.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, during the past 24 hours, the ceasefire regime was violated 30 times on different directions of the contact line between the Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces.

Let us remind you that yesterday, on April 15, in the Goranboy District of Azerbaijan located near the contact line between the Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces, a resident of the village of Zeiva was hospitalized with serious injuries he got as a result of a landmine explosion.
