Power agents conduct checks in Leninsky District of Grozny
According to local residents, today, from 5 to 8 p.m. local time, law enforcers made a number of checks in the Leninsky District of Grozny.
A resident of this district named Leyla said that she has no claims to power agents in connection with the check. According to her story, armed men asked her whether her son had his passport with him, but he had not. The woman showed her passport, and the militaries "apologised for stopping her and said that it was an ordinary 'cleansing', and there was no reason to worry"; they behaved politely and correctly.
Let us remind you that on March 23, when the republic celebrated the 12th anniversary of the adoption of the new Constitution of Chechnya, Grozny residents reported that power agents inspected mobile phones of some young people.
At night on February 24, an explosion occurred on the dam located in the Grozny neighbourhood named Chernorechie, which killed three persons. Then, power agents conducted a number of checks in Grozny. On March 6, human rights defenders reported that at least one hundred residents of the village of Gvardeiskoe were brought to the police in connection with the investigation of the explosion. Later, all of them were released.
