Experts doubt of existence of "Kadyrov's list"

Experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" were critical of the possible existence of "firing list" of Ramzan Kadyrov's enemies.

The blogosphere starts to mention about the existence of the "firing list" after the detention of suspected killers of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Boris Nemtsov was shot and killed in Moscow on February 27. Five persons, including Zaur Dadaev, Anzor and Shagid Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, were detained on suspicion of involvement in the murder. They would not plead guilty.

On March 10, the "Novaya Gazeta" reported that persons, who organized the murder of the opposition activist, compiled the "firing list", which, apart from Boris Nemtsov, also included Alexei Venediktov, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, and Ksenia Sobchak.

According to Alexei Malashenko, a member of the Scientific Council of the Moscow Carnegie Centre, the form, in which the list was mentioned, raise a lot of doubts.

"The fact that the list includes people whom Ramzan Kadyrov called his enemies means nothing clear. He said a lot, and not always his words became a reality," Alexei Malashenko told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Geidar Djemal, the Chairman of the Islamic Committee of Russia, has noted that such lists never become documents.

"Such a list may be kept in the head of person who makes the decisions concerning each figurant. There are not so many people to enlist them. The idea about such a list is a very romantic one; however, it seems to come from another time and other formations," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Geidar Djemal.

The Chairman of the Islamic Committee of Russia has also emphasized that the false nature of the list is proved by the fact that it contains the name of Boris Nemtsov. "If we are talking about the version of the Boris Nemtsov's murder because of the magazine 'Charlie Hebdo', then, his name cannot be on the list, since he never criticized Islam and was positively disposed towards the Caucasus," Geidar Djemal has concluded.
