Khamzat Bakhaev accused of Boris Nemtsov's murder
Khamzat Bakhaev, the third of five defendants in the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder, has formally indicted. This was reported by a source aware of the investigation progress.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 27, opposition politician Boris Nemtsov was shot and killed in Moscow. Five persons, including Zaur Dadaev, Anzor and Shagid Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, were detained on suspicion of involvement in the murder. On March 14, the advocate of Khamzat Bakhaev stated that law enforcers did not allow him to visit his client.
Today, the source familiar with the situation has reported that Khamzat Bakhaev had been already indicted. According to the source, the relevant investigative actions were carried out on March 13, the "Interfax" reports.
"Khamzat Bakhaev was questioned as a suspect, and he said that he did not admit his guilt," said advocate Sofia Rubasskaya as quoted by the "RAPSI" (Russian Agency of Legal and Judicial Information).
Thus, three of five defendants in the case have already been indicted. Earlier, Zaur Dadaev and Anzor Gubashev have got the status of the defendants, and investigators call them direct executors of the Boris Nemtsov's murder. The figurants of the case plead not guilty. On March 10, Gubashev brothers and Zaur Dadaev complained to human rights defenders about being tortured by law enforcers.
