Advocate of Sochi resident, accused of treason, doubts of reality of his client's meeting with POC members
The story of Pyotr Parpulov, a resident of Sochi, accused of treason, about his meeting with members of the Public Oversight Commission (POC) in SIZO is completely contradicting the data voiced earlier by POC members, said Oleg Eliseev, the advocate of Parpulov. He does not rule out that the POC members saw another person, while some other people, not the POC members, were brought to Parpulov's cell.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in March 2014, Sochi law enforcers detained Pyotr Parpulov, a former dispatcher of the Sochi Airport, on suspicion of treason. For the time of the investigation, he was placed into the SIZO of Krasnodar.
According to the advocate, his client is in critical health condition. However, the POC members, who visited him, assured that Parpulov did not complain to them about his health.
On March 10, Parpulov told his advocate that he had complained to the POC members about his custody conditions, absence of beds and pain due to his inguinal hernia. According to Parpulov, of the POC members gave him an address, where to send complaints about SIZO No. 5. However, according to the advocate, it proved to be an invalid address.
Earlier, Parpulov's daughter said that his father complained, in his letters to relatives, about his custody conditions and poor health care.
