Magomed Aushev brought home from Nalchik hospital

Magomed Aushev, who was detained in Ingushetia on suspicion of opening fire at the wedding party and who was hospitalized after interrogations, was brought home from the hospital in Nalchik.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 20, 2014, Magomed Aushev, a resident of the village of Ekazhevo, was detained on suspicion of opening fire from the wedding motorcade. According to his brother, after the detention, Magomed Aushev was tortured and beaten. During the court session held on December 22, the defendant lost consciousness and was hospitalized in serious condition.

Magomed Aushev underwent surgery on his hand. This was reported by his cousin Magomed-Ali Aushev. According to him, Magomed's ligaments were torn when he was subjected to torture.

"They put a plastic bag on his head and beat him mostly on his head, and they tortured him with electric current. We do know their names, although all of them were in masks," Magomed-Ali Aushev has said.

According to him, the health state of Magomed Aushev got stabilized. However, physicians from the Nalchik hospital recommended him to undergo a rehabilitation course in a health care institution.

Movlatkhan Ausheva, the mother of Magomed Aushev, has noted that her son does not recognize his friends and classmates because of fragmentary blackouts.

In her turn, advocate Toma Tsutieva believes that Magomed Aushev should prepare papers to obtain a category of disability. The advocate has also noted that, although a criminal case has been instituted on the fact of torture, the investigation into the case is being carried out very slowly.
