Midfielder of "Anji-2" FC killed in Dagestan

Gasan Magomedov, a player of the "Anji-2" FC, was killed in the Kumtorkala District of Dagestan.

The murder was committed at night in the village of Novokuli. At about midnight, unidentified men used firearms to shell a car with the player of the "Anji-2" FC. This has been reported today by the spokesperson of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

The football player died in hospital from the wounds, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to a source in the MIA.

The press service of the "Anji" FC has confirmed the information. "Gasan Magomedov, a 20-year-old left-back, was killed. He was one of the major football players," said the spokesperson of the "Anji" FC.

Gasan Magomedov was born on January 17, 1994, in Makhachkala. Since 2005, he played football at the National Sports Children and Youth School of Olympic Reserve. In 2012, Gasan Magomedov became a member of the youth team of the "Anji" FC, and he took part in 51 matches, the website of the "Anji" FC reports.
