Militants killed in Ingushetia had been preparing terror act, said Security Council

Ramzan Makhauri, Ramzan Gagaev and Amerkhan Amatkhanov, who were killed on December 28 in Ingushetia, came to the republic from Chechnya aiming to commit a terror act, said Albert Barakhoev, the Acting Secretary of the Regional Security Council. According to his story, so far, relatives of the casualties has not addressed for taking out their bodies.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported about an armed clash in a street of the village of Ordjonikidzevskaya on December 28, during which power agents killed three suspected members of the armed underground. All of them were wanted on suspicion of involvement in acts of terror and attempts on power agents' lives.

Three members of the "Sunzha" grouping were identified by one of the passengers of the shuttle taxi, which was heading to Ordjonikidzevskaya, said Albert Barakhoev.

According to his story, all the three killed militants "were Melkhastin nationals, who identify themselves as Chechens." "All of them were members of the 'Sunzha gang', which acts in the territory of Chechnya and Ingushetia. Makhauri and Gagaev were residents of the village of Assinovskaya [of the Sunzha District of Chechnya]. These people arrived in Ingushetia to commit a terror act," Barakhoev asserts.
