This was reported by the Ministry for Youth Affairs of Chechnya. In September, according to the Ministry's information, search teams from Chechnya, Ukraine, and Moldova managed to find 82 grave sites of the Red Army soldiers who died in 1942 during the attack of Nazi troops on Grozny.

A source from Ministry for Youth Affairs of Chechnya has stated that, according to the archives, in 1942, during the combat actions in that front sector, about 12,000 the Red Army soldiers were killed or went missing in action.
