Residents of North Ossetia prepare for mourning ceremonies on ninth anniversary of terror act in Beslan

North Ossetia prepares to conduct mourning ceremonies on the ninth anniversary of the terror act in Beslan.

On September 1, 2 and 3, in the yard of the school No. 1, and on September 3, in the memorial cemetery "City of Angels", people will be held the ceremonies of laying flowers, requiem service, and ceremonies of one minute's silence. This was reported by the press service of the President and the Government of North Ossetia. Because of the mourning ceremonies, the schools of the Pravoberezhny District will start lessons on September 5.

The mourning ceremony will begin on September 1 at 9:00 a.m. in Beslan in the yard of the ruined school. At 8:00 p.m., in the school yard, people will light candles in the number corresponding to the number of persons killed in the terror act.

On September 2, the mourning ceremony will continue in the yard of the school No. 1, where the tragedy occurred. On that day, from morning to night, the school will be open for everyone who wants to pay tribute to the memory of victims of the terror act.

For September 3, it was decided to start the requiem service in the school yard at 9:00 a.m. instead of 11:30 a.m., and that will ensure free movement within the period of time chosen by most visitors. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a representative of the press service of the government of North Ossetia.

Like in earlier years, the organization of the event involved representatives from public institutions, association "Red Cross", volunteers from youth of Beslan, schoolchildren, and personnel of city services for cleaning. For three days, law enforcement bodies will take enhanced measures to ensure the safety of the public.
