Sochi court accepts advocate's complaint about inaction of investigator in Mardiros Demerchyan's case to consideration

On July 8, the Adler District Court accepted the complaint that was repeatedly filed by advocate Alexander Boichenko about the inaction of investigator Artyom Semenets, who conducted the investigation into the complaint about beating and torture of builder Mardiros Demerchyan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 1, the court refused advocate Alexander Boichenko in the consideration of the complaint about the inaction of the investigator who conducted the investigation into the complaint about beating and torture of builder Mardiros Demerchyan. The advocate has challenged the refusal at the regional court.

On July 8, Alexander Boichenko again filed the complaint about the inaction of investigator Artyom Semenets, which was directed for consideration to Judge Sergey Shepilov.

At present, investigators are checking the complaint about beating of Mardiros Demerchyan, and the decision to institute a criminal case will be made before July 19. On July 8, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by investigator Artyom Semenets, the criminal case had not yet been instituted because the check was not over.

Earlier, the GUVD (Chief Interior Department) of the Krasnodar Territory did not revealed in the Mardiros Demerchyan's case any unlawful actions committed by policemen. Meanwhile, the Sochi police filed a complaint to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) with a request to bring Mardiros Demerchyan to responsibility for slander.
