Georgian MoD: from beginning of mission in Afghanistan, 93 Georgian military men wounded

For the first time, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Georgia has reported the information about military men wounded in the course of the peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan. According to the information of the Georgian MoD, starting from 2010, 93 persons were wounded.

Twenty military men were wounded in 2010, when the Georgian contingent was first deployed in Helmand province, and 44 military men were wounded in 2011. 29 soldiers were among the wounded as of November 26, 2012, the "Georgia Online" reports.

Until recently, the MoD's policy has been not to release the information about the incidents, during which the Georgian military men in Afghanistan were wounded, the "Civil.ge" reports.
