In Sochi, General Director of "FreeStyle" Company sentenced for defrauding real estate investors

Today, in Sochi, a verdict of the Central District Court came into force, in accordance with which Vladimir Musienko, General Director of the "FreeStyle" Company, was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment. The businessman had no construction permit; however, he raised money from real estate investors. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Krasnodar Territory.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, Vladimir Musienko, General Director of the "FreeStyle" Company, starting from April 2007 till June 2009, raised money from citizens for the construction of two residential buildings. Meanwhile, according to investigators, he had no project declaration, construction permit or documents on land plots.

As a result, the construction was suspended and at least 153 persons suffered. Defrauded real estate investors filed complaints to the investigator authorities; the total amount of damage reached more than 360 million roubles. This was reported by the official website of the Prosecutor's Office of the Krasnodar Territory.

The court found Vladimir Musienko, General Director of the "FreeStyle" Company, guilty of committing the crime under Part 2 of Article 201 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of authority, resulting in grave consequences), and he was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment. He will serve his sentence in a common security penal colony, the STRC (State TV and Radio Company) "Kuban" reports.
