Woman from Kabardino-Balkaria asserts that her husband, found dead in "Gardens of Nalchik", had been kidnapped by unidentified persons

Zalina Khekilaeva from Nalchik has addressed her applications to the Investigatory Department for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), the Prosecutor's Office of the KBR, B. M. Zumakulov, Ombudsman in the KBR, and to the Human Rights Centre of the KBR, describing the circumstances of disappearance of her husband Albert Karmov, whose body was found in the "Gardens of Nalchik".

The applications state that on May 29 in the evening, when she and her husband Albert Karmov went out for a walk, a dark-colour car, which number plates she did not remember, drove up to them. Three tall men in masks and camouflage jumped out of the car. Saying nothing, they caught Albert, threw him into the car and drove away.

"I immediately began calling to his cell phone, but it was already switched off. Then, I called all his friends and relatives and told them about the incident," says her application posted on the website of the Human Rights Centre of the KBR.

According to the woman, Albert's relatives had waited for a day, and then turned with their written application to the Investigatory Committee of the KBR. On May 31, Karmov's relatives, according to his wife, began calling the police stations and hospitals.

"We called to the morgue, where we were told that they had received a body that looked like Albert by description. We went there, identified Alberta and saw blast wounds in the upper part of his body. The morgue staff said that presumably he died from the impact of an explosive device," said Zalina Khekilaeva.

Her application also runs that earlier Albert Karmov had been repeatedly summoned to the police. She was also taken there and asked about Albert and his friends, and what their sources of income were.

"During the last two months Albert often said that he noticed being shadowed. One example was a Lada Priora car of quartz-white coloured, with the state number plates running 849, region 07," said the statement.

According to the statement of the press service of the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), made in connection with the body found in the "Gardens of Nalchik", the man "had died as a result of a mine-explosive impact."
