In Krasnodar, jurymen pass guilty verdict to "black" realtors

The jury of the Krasnodar Territorial Court has found the figurants of the criminal case on misappropriation of the rights of apartment residents of Sochi, two of whom were killed, guilty.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that consideration of this case began back in October 2008. Seven persons, including three policemen and a notary, found themselves in the prisoners' dock. They were accused of killing lonely old persons with the aim to embezzle their flats.

According to the Russian General Prosecutor's Office, in 2005, Igor Gureev, director of realtor company "Orion-Sochi", organized a criminal grouping, which included Dmitry Voznyuk, head of the legal department of the real estate Limited Liability Company (LLC) "Skala", earlier convicted Yuri Kostenkov and militiamen.

According to investigators, the suspects managed to take possession of flats of four citizens; two of them were killed, one disappeared and one more was kidnapped. Another attempt to take possession of a flat failed.

The five defendants - Igor Gureev, Dmitry Voznyuk, Yuri Kostenkov, Anton Ilyin, Amayak Zabunyan and Dmitry Patsekin - were found guilty of a large-scale fraud, kidnapping, murder to conceal another crime committed by an organized grouping, illegal detention, abuse of power, and forgery of an official document.

The former Sochi private notary Vladislav Pinchuk was found guilty of five crimes under the article of "abuse of power by private notaries and auditors", the "Interfax" reports.

The arguments of the parties on the verdict will be heard on Thursday, April 21, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

Earlier, by the verdict of the Krasnodar Territorial Court, which was based on the verdict of the jury of August 25, 2009, Voznyuk, Kostenkov, Ilyin, Zabunyan and Patsekin were acquitted "for lack of crime elements in their actions." However, on July 7, 2010, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation overturned the verdict as illegal and unjustified, having sent the criminal case for a new trial by the Territorial Court.
