Mother of Magmadovs, natives of Chechnya, accused of recruiting Egle Kusaite, complains that her children are harassed in Lefortovo

Tamara Magmadova, mother of Apti Magmadov and Aishat Magmadova, who are kept in the "Lefortovo" FSB's pre-trial prison, charged of recruiting Egle Kusaite, a citizen of Lithuania, to commit terror acts in Russia, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that her children are exposed to physical and psychological pressure and left without medical care.

"My son is under physical and psychological pressure, which is confirmed by his appearance and state of health - when I was allowed to see him for an hour, Apti looked very bad: sickly and worn out," said Tamara Magmadova; according to her story she was allowed to meet her son only once within the year - on January 31, 2010.

"Apti's lips were distorted as during a nervous tick or micro-stroke, his hands were trembling. I had a feeling that his right arm was half-paralyzed," said the mother.

In her opinion, presently there is a real threat that Apti's health may be completely ruined.

A similar situation, as Tamara continued, is with regard to her daughter Aishat: within the year that she is kept in custody she could not be examined by an ophthalmologist.

Earlier Tamara Magmadova had openly appealed to public and human rights organizations; today she is forced to admit that her children are in fact helpless, as "FSB investigators admit nobody" to Apti and Aishat.

So far, no comments were made by the investigation or "Lefortovo" officials.

Meanwhile, Tamara Magmadova has complained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that with the start of her children's trial, she has problems with her telephone communication. It is practically impossible to reach her by any of her mobile phone numbers. Same was with her. During her last conversation with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent the talk was interrupted 2 minutes after the start. The same happened, when a call was made to Tamara's other phone number. She said that there is enough money on her phone account to make and receive calls; and her phone indicator shows that the connection with the operator is nice.

Her both telephone numbers were issued by "MegaFon" operator. Its call desk refused to comment on the situation to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, suggesting that Magmadova should address them personally.
