Main suspect of murdering 12 persons in Kuschevskaya arrested

Sergey Tsapok, suspected of organizing the murder of 12 people in the village of Kuschevskaya, Krasnodar Territory, was put behind bars by decision of the Essentuki City Court.

His advocate Alla Golovina asserts his innocence for absence of evidences of his guilt, except for victims' testimonies and wants to appeal against the arrest.

"No proofs of his guilt were presented to us. Sergey came from abroad, he could have stayed there; but he returned to prove his innocence," said the advocate.

In total, six persons have been detained on the massacre case; five of them are already under arrest. Tsapok was detained along with another suspect - Sergey Tsepovyaz, on whom the freedom restriction measure was not yet chosen, the RIA "Novosti" wrote at 10:45 p.m.

Meanwhile, according to other sources, Tsepovyaz was arrested by the Kuschevskiy District Court, as the "Interfax" reported today at 3:31 p.m.
