"Water-Melon Paradise" festival haled in Krasnodar Territory

On August 14, Strelka village, Temryuk District of the Krasnodar Territory, hosted the district festival "Water-Melon Paradise" with participation of more than 30 farmers.

Visitors of the festival could taste water-melons, melons and various meals and drinks prepared from them. The contests and lotteries ran for the prizes - a ton and half-ton of water-melons and a barrel made of a centenary-old oak with 25 litres of water-melon vodka in it.

The farmers, whose products were winners in nominations "the biggest water-melon", "the strangest water-melon" and "the sweetest water-melon" were awarded with vouchers to Holland, France or Israel by seed-growing companies, the "Zhivaya Kuban" writes.
