Kozak: Sochi Olympiad will cost 185 billion roubles

As reported today by Dmitri Kozak, Russian Vice-Premier, during his working trip to Sochi, the 2014 Winter Olympiad will cost 185 billion roubles, of which the budget will allot 80 billion, and the rest will come, as they plan, from private investors.

Mr Kozak who is supervising the Olympic preparations said that "the work goes OK, although there are some problems," and independent experts of the Olympic Committee assess the preparatory work "very positively".

The RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to the Vice-Premier that it is planned to spend 12 billion roubles on resettling, but it is a "forecasted estimate", as "not all the houses within the Olympic construction zone have been appraised."
