More than 20 pieces of ammunition found in Grozny in the course of city subbotnik

About 25 various explosive objects have been found in the streets of Grozny from the start of the Chechen capital subbotnik. This has been reported by the republic's MoE.

"Starting from June 19, the day of beginning of a large-scale city subbotnik on cleaning Grozny streets from garbage, about 25 various explosive objects have been found in different districts. These are air bombs, unexploded artillery shells and, in one case, even a missile of the "Grad" salvo fire installation, tells a representative of the republic's MoE to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He notes that, since the city subbotnik continues, the probability that the participants of the event may at any moment find more explosive objects remains. "A hot line has been opened at the MoE. In case of finding any suspicious object it is enough to phone to the MoE service, and specialists will immediately come to the place", says our interlocutor.

He also reports that the unexploded air bomb found on June 29 on the territory of the former tram depot in the Chechen capital Lenin district was destroyed yesterday by the MoE mine pickers from Volgograd who specially came to Grozny.

For reference, yesterday, July 1, it became known that one more unexploded air bomb of the time of active combat actions in the Chechen Republic was accidentally found in the yard of a private house in the mountain Vedensk district. Is was also disarmed without any harm to the population.
