Search of Nazhmudinov, who disappeared in Dagestan, is strenuous, law enforcers assert

Today, in the administration of the Kizlyar District of Dagestan, local bosses met the relatives of Ahmednabi Nazhmudinov, a native of the village of Cherniayevka village, Kizlyar District, who is considered missing since last week. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about it by Zagir Musaev, who was at the meeting.

"The meeting was conducted by Magomed Omarov, acting head of the Kizlyar District; and it was attended by the heads of all the power agencies of the district. They said that the search of the missing person is conducted by all possible forces; however, they could not report anything particular. Omarov said that officials in Makhachkala already knew about the incident. The head of the ROVD (District Interior Division) expressed an opinion that Ahmednabi could join militants, like his brother had done, but Ahmednabi's father Magomed Nazhmudinov categorically rejected the version, saying that his son's wedding was to take place exactly on the day when he disappeared," said Mr Musaev.

According to his story, the meeting ended with promises of district leaders and power agents that the search of Ahmednabi Nazhmudinov will continue.

Zagir Musaev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Ahmednabi's fellow-villagers were not going to launch their protest actions. "We were recommended to wait for two-three days, the village jama'at agreed to the wishes; however, if there're no results, we'll resume our rallies," he said.

The district administration told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the investigation of the incident is under special supervision of district leaders; and their bosses in Makhachkala are also aware.
