A victims of metro explosion to sue NAC

In the near future, a claim will be lodged to the Basmanny Court of Moscow by a child, who remained orphan after the death of his parents in the terror act in Moscow metro on March 29.

Let us remind you that as a result of two explosions committed by female suicide-bombers in the morning on March 29 in Lubyanka and Park Kultury stations of the Sokolniki line of Moscow metro, 40 persons were lost and more than 130 more were wounded.

As reported today by lawyer Igor Trunov, who represents the victim's interests, soon the federal project "Federal Book of Complaints" would be launched. The first complaint within this project will be lodged in the interests of the victim who is going to sue the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) for inaction.

In Mr Trunov's opinion, the NAC's inaction was in insufficient prevention of terrorism, which led to the twin terror act in Moscow.

So far, the volume of claim and the date of submission are not known, the "Interfax" reports.

There is no official reaction of the NAC to this information.

Today in the afternoon, a rally was held in the Bolotnaya Square in Moscow in defence of terror victims, organized by the Moscow branch of the "Pravoe Delo" (Rightful Cause) Party. The event brought together about 50 participants; among them, there were relatives of the victims of the latest terror acts in Moscow in Lubyanka and Park Kultury metro stations, and also during the capture of hostages at the Dubrovka Theatrical Centre. They held photos of the victims and posters "No to terror!" and "Civilized state shall have civilized attitude to terror victims," the "Infox.ru" reports.

The organizers of the action plan to draft a bill "On Social Protection of Terror Act Victims" assuming a special status and social guarantees for such victims and regulation of compensation sums.
