Militiamen were attacked twice in Kabardino-Balkaria
On March 13 and 14, in Kabardino-Balkaria, two attacks on law enforcers were committed; fortunately, without victims.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by Tatiana Nauzhokova, assistant of the head of the investigatory department, that on March 14 at 7:15 p.m. two unidentified persons made at least six firearm shots at a senior militia operative agent at the gate of his own house in the city of Baksan. The militiamen remained safe; but the malefactors managed to escape.
"Operative-investigatory actions are conducted on the fact aimed to investigate the incident and search the criminals," Ms Nauzhokova said and added that a criminal case had been initiated.
According to her story, on March 13 in Nalchik, at about midnight, a shot was made from a rifled gun at senior district militiaman who was engaged in checking passports. The incident happened in a staircase of a multi-storeyed block in the Gagarin Street. The militiaman did not suffer.
The gunman managed to disappear.
Later, the name of the suspect was established: certain Alim Zankishiev, born in 1982, a resident of the Cherek District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, who is in federal search since August 2006.
