Dutch Internet edition sacks journalist for refusal to admit Armenians' genocide

The Dutch Internet edition named "De Dagelijksestandaard" has dismissed one of its journalists for denying the fact of the genocide of Armenians by Ottoman Turkey and for his qualification of 1915 events as deportation.

Arman Sag, an employee of the edition, a Turk by nationality, who is living and working in the Netherlands, stated in one of his publications on the events of the start of the last century in Turkey that "Turks did not commit any genocide against the Armenian population, it was deportation."

Arman Sag's article caused indignation of the members of the Armenian community of this country, who sent their numerous complaints to the edition. After that, Sag was dismissed for his refusal to recognize the Armenians' genocide.

Holland is among the countries, which recognized the genocide of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.
