Case against Chechen natives accused of recruiting citizen of Lithuania for terror act sent to court
The General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation has sent to the court the criminal case initiated against the natives of Chechnya Apti and Aisha (Aishat) Magmadov, accused of recruiting the citizen of Lithuania Egle Kusaite for committing a terror act in Russia.

The Warsaw District Court has ruled not to consider the lawsuit about extradition to Russia of Ahmed Zakaev, former head of the government of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, who was put by Russia on the international wanted list, because he is not in Poland at the moment.

Today, the Dubai Court of Appeal has replaced the life imprisonment to figurants in the murder case of Sulim Yamadaev, Hero of Russia and a former commander of the "Vostok" (East) special battalion of the GRU (Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian General Staff) - the Iranian Makhdi Lorniya and citizens of Tajikistan Maksudzhon Ismatov - for 27 months of imprisonment.

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in Strasbourg has fined the Russian Government by 137,500 euros for disappearance of a resident of Chechnya and for ineffective investigation into the death of two children from Chechnya at missile attack.

During public prosecutor's inspection in the town of Argun (Chechnya) facts of illegal issue of 24 birth certificates by the registry office have been discovered. A maternity nurse of the municipal hospital has been acknowledged guilty of this swindle. 20 criminal proceedings were started on the fact at once.

Kadyrov might have been involved in organizing attempts at four of his critics and there is a number of proofs of this in the materials of criminal cases, witness Ekaterina Sokiryanskaya stated at the trial on the accusation of slander at Ramzan Kadyrov against Oleg Orlov, Head of "Memorial" Human Rights Center (HC) on December, 16. Last night servicemen of federal forces were fired upon by unidentified persons in Urus-Martan district of Chechnya. One of the servicemen was taken to hospital. In Achkhoy-Martan district, too, operations are in process for search of the persons who in the evening of December, 15, fired upon a militia checkpoint, two officers of the Ministry of Interior Affairs were wounded as a result.
