Last week, from July 16 to July 22, 2012, at least 21 persons suffered in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. These are the results of calculations of the "Caucasian Knot" based on own materials of the edition and information from other open sources. Of them, 12 persons perished and 9 more were wounded.

According to official statistics, presented to the UN by the Russian Federation, from 2007 to 2009, the Investigatory Committee of Chechen Republic received 427 complaints about disappearances of people and instituted criminal cases on 142 of them; however, none of them was brought to court.

Resident of Chechnya Hussein Badurgov aged 25 disappeared in Grozny on July, 12, in unexplained circumstances. Representatives of law enforcement bodies promise to verify all the versions of his disappearance, including the young man's possible joining the gunmen.
