In Chechnya, a local resident is suspected of killing his sister. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by officials from the law enforcement bodies of the republic. On November 23, a 19-year-old female resident of the village of Tangi-Chu of the Urus-Martan District was found dead. Investigators believe the girl was killed by her brother, who treated her behaviour as disgraceful.

During the week of November 18-24, 2013, at least 22 persons suffered in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. Of them, 18 persons were killed, and 4 persons were wounded. In Chechnya, Uvais Shidaev, 23, a resident of Grozny, was sentenced to three years in prison with a probation period of two years for helping a member of the armed underground, the law enforcement bodies of Chechnya report.

One of the residents of Chechnya, who made his pilgrimage to Muslims holy, moved from Saudi Arabia to Syria to take part in the armed conflict, other Chechen Hajj participants have reported. According to the journalist Orhan Cemal, now from 200 to 400 Russian citizens are taking part in the Syrian conflict.

Military sappers have completed this year's mission of clearing farmland in Chechnya. The plan has been exceeded; and in total, over 2200 hectares of land were cleaned of mines and explosive devices, said the military commandant of Chechnya. Next year, these lands will be included into land circulation, said the Republic's Ministry of Agriculture.
