The Election Committee of Saint Petersburg refused to register the initiative group, which stands for holding referendum on naming one of the city bridges after Akhmat Kadyrov. This was reported today by Boris Vishnevsky, a Deputy of the City Legislative Assembly, who added that the decision of the Committee is illegitimate and would be surely appealed against.

The investigation of the case against Zaur Dadaev, Shagid Gubashev, Anzor Gubashev, Temerlan Eskerkhanov and Khamzat Bakhaev, accused of killing Boris Nemtsov, is over. They are accused of committing the murder for hire in an organized grouping, and of illegal acquisition, carrying, transportation and storage of firearms (points "g and h", Part 2, Article 105, and Part 3, Article 222, of the Russian Criminal Code). The maximum penalty under these articles is life imprisonment.

Boris Nemtsov was killed in the centre of Moscow with a pistol hand-assembled from foreign parts. This has been reported today by the press service of the Russian FSB.

In the car, belonging to Moscow advocate Ilyas Alaev, a native of Chechnya, returned by law enforcers after the inspection, a large amount of money, which he carried with him, was missing; however, there was a medicine forbidden for free commercial sale. The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 30, the Toponymy Commission of Saint Petersburg voiced an initiative to name an unnamed bridge over the Dudergof Channel after Akhmat Kadyrov. On June 16, it was officially announced that Georgy Poltavchenko, Governor of Saint Petersburg, signed a decree on naming of the bridge.

Until July 4, Moscow holds the evenings of the Caucasian Peoples within the project "Ramadan Tent". This project shall be of charitable and educational functions, focused not only on Muslims. This opinion was expressed by experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".

The new village of 30 houses is being constructed in the mountainous Shatoi District of Chechnya, where on June 12, a landslide destroyed and damaged dozens of houses. According to the Shatoi District administration, the construction works are to be completed by July 6.

Just before the murder, Boris Nemtsov was fixed by a digital video recorder (DVR) of one of the passing cars. The record has no evidence that the persons accused of killing the politician had followed him, the "Rosbalt" reports, citing its source.
