Three opposition parties refuse to join rally in support of Saakashvili

Novo-Maka villagers doubt reality of the story about labour slavery in greenhouses
There are indeed many greenhouses in the village of Novo-Maka in the Suleiman-Stalsky District, but no one is taken into slavery, Takhmez Nazaraliev, a villager, has stated. Meilan Abasmirzoev, a deputy head of the administration of the Novo-Maka rural settlement, has not believed in the story of two Moscow residents; he thinks that the presence of greenhouses in the village does not mean that people are kept in slavery there.

Saakashvili's supporters demand to transfer him from prison to hospital
In the evening on October 12, activists of the "United National Movement" (UNM) Party held a protest action near Rustavi Prison, demanding to transfer Mikheil (Mikhail) Saakashvili, a former president, to hospital for treatment after his hunger strike.

Advocates of Magamadov and Isaev petition on transfer of the trial from Chechnya
The preliminary hearing of the criminal case initiated against the brothers, Salekh Magamadov and Ismail Isaev was held at the Achkhoi-Martan District Court, the "SK SOS" Crisis Group has reported. The advocates lodged a motion asking to transfer the trial to a court of another region, because no objective consideration of the case is possible in Chechnya.
