During the week from December 28, 2020, to January 3, 2021, four persons fell victim to the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus: three were killed and one was wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

The law enforcers named in the journalistic investigation into the poisoning of the opposition leader, Alexei Navalny, had visited Kabardino-Balkaria and Dagestan when the human rights defender, Timur Kuashev, and the activist of the "Sadval" movement, Ruslan Magomedragimov, died there, as follows from the materials published by Khristo Grozev, a Bellingcat's journalist.

The Council of Teips of Ingushetia has suggested that the Sultygov and Timurziev teips settle the conflict with relatives of Chechen law enforcers in accordance with the Sharia law.

CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) cameras in Grozny captured the murder of the policeman, Magomed Djabrailov, and the wounding of his colleague, as well as the death of both attackers, the "Grozny" TV Channel has informed.

The experts suggest it has been a unique case when members of the Ingush teips objected to Ramzan Kadyrov and requested to prove that the suspects killed in a special operation were terrorists.

An attack on the police in Grozny has become at least the seventh knife attack on the police in Chechnya, Ingushetia, and Kabardino-Balkaria, that is, the regions of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), over three years. Most of attackers were declared natives of Chechnya and Ingushetia.
