An advocate was not allowed to visit Alizamin Salaev, an activist of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), sentenced for posting a video criticizing a policeman. Defender Elchin Sadygov treats the above refusal in a visit to his client as an interference with his professional activities and a violation of the arrested activist's rights.

On April 26, the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia reported a launch of an investigation into a criminal case on a hooligan attack on relatives of advocate Seda Safaryan. The advocate herself associated the incident with her professional activities.

Elena Milashina, an observer of the "Novaya Gazeta" newspaper, has demanded to initiate a criminal case about the threat of murder and an attempt to interfere with the journalistic professional activities. Advocates of Khumaid Khaidaev, a native of Chechnya, have demanded from the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) and the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) to check the information that Khumaid was brutally tortured after the inmates' riots in the Irkutsk Region. Khaidaev, convicted in 2008, was preparing for release from colony and could not be the organizer of the riots, his brother has suggested.
