The law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia have prevented a large terror act planned by militants with use of a terrorist-suicide bomber. This was stated today by Ingush President Yunus-Bek Evkurov in his speech addressed to parliamentarians and the government.

The special commission for reconciliation of families in the state of blood feud, which was set up in Chechnya in August, has reconciled 18 blood feudists. According to the republic's Muftiyat, the commission still has 40 more cases pending consideration.

Magomed-Hadji Aushev, 80, father of Maksharip Aushev, an Ingush oppositionist and human rights activist, who was killed in autumn of 2009, asserts that he knows the assassins. The father is himself engaged in active public work in Ingushetia and does not exclude that he can become the next victim of gunmen.

On September 5, militiamen and soldiers engaged in operative-search actions were shelled in the high-mountainous Shatoy District of Chechnya. Nobody of them suffered; later, they found two knapsacks with foodstuffs in the place of the incident and then detained a suspected militants' helper.

Rita Kanametova, a resident of the city of Baksan in Kabardino-Balkaria has addressed her complaint to the prosecutor's office of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) and human rights organizations saying that a person, who presented himself as an employee of the FSB Department for Kabardino-Balkaria, confiscated her car BMW-520. Later it appeared that there is no such employee in the Department.

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has upheld the decision of the Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria on changing the freedom restriction regime for Kazbek Budtuev, a defendant in the case dealing with the attack on power agencies of Nalchik on October 13, 2005. After five years in SIZO (pre-trial prison) he was transferred into house arrest. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told about it by advocate Liza Shak.
