A Mi-24 helicopter, which was escorting a motor convoy of the Russian military base through the territory of Armenia, was shot down from an anti-aircraft missile system near the border with the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Russia reported.

Soldier Mikail Aktaliev from the village of Ekazhevo located in the Nazran District of Ingushetia was among the three soldiers killed at a military airfield near Voronezh. A colleague of the killed soldiers who had escaped from a military unit was detained on suspicion of killing them.

In Georgia, during a rally held in front of the building of the Central Election Commission (CEC), 10 protesters, 14 law enforcers, and three journalists were injured, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Georgia reported. The Human Rights Education and Monitoring Centre demanded from the authorities to stop using water cannons against participants of peaceful protests.

At night, Stepanakert came under missile fire; other dwelling settlements of Nagorno-Karabakh were relatively calm, the Emergency Service of Nagorno-Karabakh has reported. In the morning, shelling of Stepanakert resumed, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has informed.

A court in Rostov-on-Don has sentenced Anvar Kasumov, a resident of Dagestan, who, according to the prosecution, was going to attach an improvised explosive device (IED) to a quadrocopter and blow up the police post guarding the Temple of the Kazan Icon of the God's Mother of in Kaspiysk, to 16 years in prison.

Four Astrakhan residents have held a series of solo pickets in support of the freedom of speech. A group of young people were outraged by the content of some of the posters, in particular, by the flags of France and the photo of Emmanuel Macron. They insulted the picketers and tore up posters, motivating their attacks by the fact that the French president showed disrespect for Islam.

The short film "Splinters of Heritage" by a repatriate from Syria, Uschab Makhush, was recognized as the best film of the Circassian Film Festival. Asker Sokht, a Circassian activist, saw in this film the idea of "returning to the home hearth". Festival films are able to awaken interest in the Circassians' culture, spectators believe.

As a result of shelling of peaceful settlements, the death toll rose to 49; 157 other civilians were wounded, Artak Beglaryan, the Ombudsperson of Nagorno-Karabakh, has stated. Unan Tadevosyan, an employee of the Nagorno-Karabakh's Emergency Service, has added that Stepanakert was shelled from cluster missiles; houses were destroyed there.
